"Cleaning

To keep your lenses clear and ready to perform, we provide an ultrasoft HKUCO Microfiber bag with every order for cleaning and storage. When cleaning your lenses, we recommend first blowing on your lenses or rinsing them with fresh water to remove any loose particles that could potentially scratch your lens. Then, simply rub them clean with the provided bag or a clean cotton cloth. For more stubborn spots, try our lens cleaning formula or a non-granular mild liquid soap and warm water.

Tips:

Never use paper products such as tissues or paper towels on your lenses — they'll leave micro scratches.

Avoid alcohol-based cleaners, saltwater, and chlorine as these substances can damage Mirror coatings.

We recommend rinsing your lenses with fresh water if exposed to any of the above substances and after contact with sweat.

Storing

Don't leave them to fend for themselves in a bag or your pocket with keys, loose change, or other items that could scratch your lenses or damage your frames.

Keep your sunglasses clear of any and all stampedes — human and animal variety alike.

The roof of your car is not a good storage place — especially while driving.

While we're on the subject of cars, the dashboard should also be avoided, especially if you live in Arizona or Dubai. Extremely hot temperatures can warp your frames and cause the layers in your lenses to pull apart.

Other than those crucial tips, always store them in the provided microfiber bag or a case, and they should be good to go.

Caution

All jokes aside, this is serious business:

Do not wear dark or mirrored lenses for night driving.

All HKUCO lenses are impact resistant, meeting the impact resistance standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z80.3-2003, EN 1836:2005 as well as the FDA regulation 21 CFR 801.410 for impact-resistant lenses for general use.

However, Standard and Enhanced HKUCO lenses are NOT intended for high-impact sports and are not designed to be industrial safety eyewear as defined in ANSI Z87.1-2003.

All Elite lenses meet the ANSI Z87.1 tests for clarity and high impact resistance, but not all frames are designed for high impact. Your frame must also be marked with “Z87” to comply with the ANSI standards and be approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for use in environments where eye protection is required."
